McCall's Bright Eclectic Office

The Lucky girl, McCall, won my bloggy friends giveaway and therefore, won a FREE MOOD BOARD design! So today I am sharing that with you!

I love when I have specific clients/friends to make a board for. It brings me out of my comfort zone and keeps me on a budget :) Do you want me to create one for you?

I could easily determine McCall's style from her blog but I wanted to see what space she wanted me to design.
McCall said: "I would love for the mood board to be done for my spare bedroom that is used as our office. This room acts not only as our office, but also is my craft room (sewing, blogging, illustrating, photography painting, etc) and music room. (piano, guitar) Welcome to apartment life."

I decided to add in a futon just in case they needed to use the space as a guest bedroom. I also wanted to incorporate lots of storage for all of her hobbies! The painted mason jars also make for a unique, inexpensive desk storage option (for pens, pencils, scissors, etc.)

Sunday Scripture {3}

Well, this is the last week to focus on LOVE. Any guesses on what the next topic will be? You will just have to come back next Sunday to find out!

Since this is the last week I will give you a scripture and a song!

Remember the Overcome the Lie challenge I told you about? Well, today's specific challenge is to send someone in the challenge a note of encouragement. I think this scripture ties perfectly into this challenge. A great way to show someone you love them is to encourage them. As easy as it is to judge someone or ignore them if they are plucking your nerves, we must remember to love one another because God loves us. It is not our place to judge someone based on their decisions or situation. I challenge you to encourage those around you this week. Love and pray for them.

Mood Board Tuesday- Shades of Blue

Feels like its been a while since I have made a mood board...just because. And I must be dreaming of a beach vacation because today's board is definitely inspired by a beachy cottage style. I love how the shades of blue complement each other and pop on the white and neutral background.

After 11 weeks of creating mood boards for the link-up I am finding it more challenging to come up with a unique design each time. One of the reasons I started this blog was to keep myself inspired and inspire others so I hope that you are enjoying these boards.

Also if you are a new reader from a link-up, giveaway or whatever please comment or email me so that I can get to know you!!

Here is my inspiration for this week:

Don't Forget to *Like* my Board so it can be featured next week!!!

Take me back...

TO BLACKSBURG!

You guessed it: another weekend recap! We had a blast and its always nice to "get away" for the weekend. However, I wished I had packed a little better for the weather. You think I would have learned by now...

All packed up- love my Vera Bradley weekender!

We arrived at Ty and Gabby's place in time for dinner Friday night! We celebrated Tim's thesis defense with some Due South BBQ! It was DELICIOUS!

The mac and cheese was divine. I am a pretty harsh critic of it so that's saying a lot. All I have to say is YUM and I will be returning on my next trip to Blacksburg!

Saturday morning Gabby and I gave ourselves manis and pedis! (with my new Julep polishes)

Then Saturday afternoon we met up with my parents and sister for the Spring Game. We also did a little shopping at the bookstore!

I got this shirt!

Saturday night Tim and I hung out with one of my besties Brittany and her boyfriend Alexander! I've missed her soooo much but now she will be a lot closer in the fall :)

Sunday afternoon we went to the Homeplace with Ty and Gabby. It was a beautiful day for it. The Homeplace is a southern cooking, family style restaurant and is a must go for any Hokie! It's situated right in the Catawba Valley and was the perfect background for some pictures!

Me and Gabby wearing matching bubble necklaces (again)

This is what happens when Tim gets a hold of my camera!

The Newlyweds!

Gabby capturing a candid moment :)

Ty and Gabby!

Was your weekend full of family, friends, eating and activities or more laid back?
