A very special wedding

On July 20, two of our very special friends got married and Tim and I got to stand by their side. Olivia and Chad were both part of our wedding and I couldn't wait for their time to come. They truly are a selfless couple and deserve the best. We have gotten to see their relationship grow over the years and now they are finally newlyweds.

They had a beautiful evening ceremony by the river followed by dinner and LOTS of dancing. It rained about 2 hours before the wedding but Olivia kept her cool and even though it was muddy, the rain did stop before the ceremony (I would have freaked out). Olivia was a stunning bride and I am so honored that she asked me to be a bridesmaid.

I forgot my camera (again) not that I would have had time to take pictures but my sister did so that is what I have to show you. Also if you want to see more from my friend Denise's wedding, check out her photographers blog post.

I did get two pictures on my phone before the wedding!

Birthday Week

Guess what?? It's my birthday week! I LOVE celebrating birthdays even if mine is in the middle of the week this year (June 26th)!! I told you June is a big month for us :)

I want you to get to know the girl behind the blog a little better this week starting with Sunday Social.

Before I get to that, I wanted to say that I got to celebrate my best friend Denise's wedding this past weekend. It was a blast. It was a perfect day for a wedding and she seriously looked like she was right out of a magazine. I can't wait to share more with you but I wanted to give you a sneak peek. Until then, check out the ziplining adventure we went on for the bachelorette party.

Here are this weeks questions:

What is your favorite store to shop at? Can we only choose one?? Haha, yeah right! Um...Target for sure, Gap, Forever 21 and Loft :)

If you could afford anything and everything, which designer brand would you covet? Kate Spade

Must have closet staple? Cardigans. I am the cardigan queen!! Especially because it makes a lot of my wardrobe work friendly. And obviously anything teal is a staple in my wardrobe!

Favorite kind of shoes? (brand or type) My favorite pair of shoes that I own are leopard flats from Target but overall I ADORE cowgirl boots!
source unknown/source

Best clothing deal you’ve ever gotten? (sale or amazing find) I used to work at a J.Crew clearance store (not a factory outlet) and got major discounts. I got my favorite black peacoat for $25!!
Style you’d love to try? maybe Vintage or more romantic and feminine??

Here are some Pinterest looks that I love...get in my closet!!

Summer Shenanigans

So sorry I have been absent lately. I feel like I say that every time I post now but I really have just been going about my daily life.

What have I been doing lately? See for yourself!

Lets start back when I went to one of my best friend Denise's Bachelorette party. I wanted to spill the beans so badly but it was a surprise for her. Now I can say that we went ziplining and it was AWESOME! Then we went to the Melting Pot for dinner. It was my first experience there and all I can say is who doesn't love cheese and chocolate?? I will be back!

There I go...backwards! Only one of us could manage to stay forwards!

Me and Val (we go way back...)
Me and the Bride
Typical....

The whole group at the end! We did it :)

and then all dressed up for dinner!

Our anniversary was the next weekend...but you will have to wait a little to hear about that.

1) I got to enjoy some relaxing time by the pool this weekend! And my toenail color matched the pool water!
2) We had a big storm this past week and this is what it left behind. So glad I took a second to peek outside or I would have missed it.
3) I got a new haircut. I am loving all of the layers. My hair has so much more volume now!
4) We are super busy at work but I love days like these when we get to preview granite or do something out of the ordinary!

Oh and one last thing...I organized this little Richmond blog hangout that took place YESTERDAY and it was sooo much fun. We ate at Chuy's and it was delish! It is such a treat to get to meet these ladies in real life after reading their blogs.

Be sure to stop by Virginia is for Bloggers to see their recap and sign up if you are a blogger living in VA!

Have you ever been on a blate (blogger date) or local meet-up?

I have had the pleasure of meeting some other bloggers at a Cooking Demo and chatting with Sara over some froyo! And of course I can't wait to meet my blogger bff Veronica next year!!! (cruise or Nashville??)

Hope you enjoyed this little glimpse of my summer so far! Have you ever been ziplining?
