Michelle, Manicures and Monday....

Happy MONDAY!! (wait, is that possible?) How was your weekend?? Is it starting to feel like Spring where you live?? Here's a little recap of ours :)

P.S. The giveaway winner will be announced real soon...promise!
  • One of my beautiful friends Michelle from Virginia Tech got MARRIED on Saturday :) It was such an honor to celebrate the big day with her! (did I mention that I love weddings..) I got to know Michelle really well when she taught a bible study that I was in. She has such a good relationship with the Lord. And we were in studio together for 3 years. We got to hang out in Richmond together for a little while and then she moved. Although I had only met Gerald once (on a little double date at our apartment) I could tell that they were meant for each other. Congrats to the newlyweds!!

  • We made a "big" purchase this weekend. The bedding that we got off of our registry was so pretty but it just didn't hold up. It was dry clean only (not paying for that) and I washed it which was fine but it never really brightened back up. It has 2 white strips on the sides that look beige now and even some of the seams were coming apart...oh well you know what that means!!! Hello beautiful aqua, green and yellow quilt :)
will post our actual bedroom soon!
  •  It was FINALLY nice outside (consistently). Got some charcoal...gonna be grillin' some burgers this week! Who's coming over?? Haha! I just can't wait to the pool opens up (guess thats one perk of living in an apartment complex :) We even threw the frisbee (yay for Target dollar spot!) around (which I really suck at).
Why can't I just be here instead????
  • I gave myself a mani and pedi (much needed) in my favorite color! Essie Turquoise and Caicos :D However, I jammed my foot into the coffee table AND spilled nail polish on the carpet.....
My toenails got a gold sparkly polish!

And we watched some of the ACM's. It was just a tease...I want to go to the CMA fest SOOOOOOO BAD (or at least just go to a country concert)! Blake and Luke were hilarious together :)

Besides all of that, the rest of the weekend was pretty chill.

A few other announcements:
-I won't be linking up tomorrow for the Mood Board party. I am trying to get outside more and exercise. Those boards take a LONG time to make but I will be back with one next week.
-I am going to eliminate anonymous comments since I have been getting a ton of spam lately. Sorry if this affects any of you. Please email me if you are unable to comment and I will rethink this decision.

  1. LOVE that bedspread. BTW--bought the lamps for my living room. NOT what you picked out--but I made sure it still went with everything else--next up? The yellow table! SO excited :)

  10. Love the new bedding! That's beautiful! I'm on the hunt for some new bedding for our bed too, our comforter is dry clean only and is too heavy for summer.

We should meet up and go running sometime! I'm training for the Race for the Cure 5k in May!

  12. Thanks for the post Samantha. You are so sweet and I love that picture of us! Next time we are in Richmond we should have another double date. We don't have anything on the calendar yet but we are hoping to make a trip down there relatively soon. Miss you!
